I'm gona buy a PC, two deals I found

I love video games, but don't care so much about graphics as long as the lines are not jaggedy and I have a respectable frame rate. I currently have a GeForce4 MX420 (only 64 MB) on this old machine, and I want to at least double the graphics on that.
Heres some of the deals I found. I'm not a super hard core gamer, so an intel processor is fine with me. I just want to get a respectable PC at a good price. My maximum budget is $1400 including monitor, speakers, tax, etc. but i'd rather save some cash and go for like a 900 to 1200 dollar system with the monitor, etc.
HP athlon 3500+ ATI xpress200 video, media center edition
Pentium4 3.0ghz 128MB video
Then ill get an LCD, probably 17in, 19 in if its not too expensive

Between those two, get the 3500+ and a decent video card. Neither will be able to play games smoothly out of the box since they both have integrated video.

well, i decided ill just get a 700 buck or so PC and upgrade graphics.

found another deal, dont know if 50 bucks less than the other AMD one is a reason to get it instead, it has a 3400+ instead of 3500+
the comp at compusa
if anyone knows if HP is a really bad company for computers or something, please say.

got the graphics card here Only problem is that I don't know if the PSU supplied in the HP can handle that, maybe ill go lower end like a 6200GT link or something.
Then the 19in monitor page for newegg.com I don't konw which one is good, is response rate better with a lower ms number or higher? I want a cheap one less than 250 bucks but the best in that category.

I think either one will do ok, but with 3500+ you have the option of upgrading the processor later on if you want (like to a dual core chip). The 3500+ system also comes with an SATA drive instead of IDE.. the SATA would be a little bit faster but maybe not something you'd notice too much in daily use. It might take 20 seconds instead of 15 to load a map in a game.

I can't speak for long term reliability, but when my dad worked for Circuity City, we were able to get a new computer (for free) once a year, and I usually picked out an HP - and I never had a single problem. We currently have a 17" HP notebook that has been problem free, too.

That 6800 would be a nice card... but I don't know about the PSU that comes with the HP. I think this card would probably work.

Response rate is better with a lower ms time. My Dell 2001FP has one of 16ms and that seems to be OK for gaming. I don't think I'd want anything higher than that though.

It would have to be one crummy PSU to not work with the 6600gt... but I guess you could return it if it doesn't work.
