I'm heading out to Las Vegas on tuesday, coming back on saturday. We are staying at New York New York. I went about 1.5 years ago, so I kinda know the area. We have tickets to Blue Man Group and Penn and Teller, but what are some other non-gambling things to do? Are the clubs worth it/what are the good ones?

Use the search function.

There have been a few threds on this topic over the past year.

No new clubs (that have been prominently mentioned in the paper) or casinos have opened up within the past year.

You are gonna LOVE Blue Man Group. I saw them in Chicago several years ago and it was hands down the best entertainment I have ever seen. Enjoy!

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay if you like aquariums.

Ka at MGM Grand if you like Cirque de Soleil - This show has a little martial arts in it and I found it very entertaining. It also tells a story which is different from their other shows.

Bellagio fountain at night - different song every fifteen minutes

I ate at Emeril's Delmonico's last time in Vegas and it was awesome. The filet runs $36 and sides are about $7 to give you an idea of how much it costs.

about the Mirage buffet - JasonK seems to have liked it, but I went last July and was not impressed.

What day are you seeing Blue Man Group? I am staying in the Luxor from Friday - Tuesday this coming weekend. 🙂

As far as night clubs, I've heard alot of recommendations for Beaches. It's by the Las Vegas Hilton and convention center. I haven't been myself, but alot of friends have recommended it.

I have some friends that are going next month and one of the places they're planning to go is Beaches. I haven't decided if I'm going, cuz I'm planning on going in April. Either way, have fun!!

I'm going this weekend 🙂 I'm seeing "O" and hopefully will hit up the high roller nightlife at least once. Have fun!

As far as buffets go, I like the MGM the most. Ra in Luxor is a pretty good club so I hear. I've never been inside.

Do the Bellagio buffet for LUNCH only.
for all seafood go to the Rio.

Clubbing:
go the one at the Hard Rock Cafe (used to be called Baby's not sure what now).
Rain @ the palms is okay as long as you get there early (can take up to 3 hours to get in!)
Rum Jungle is nice too.

My first trip to Vegas was the Blue Man Group and Penn & Teller. It was pretty good.

I got pulled on stage at the Penn & Teller show, and they made an ass of me ('cause that's what they do). It was fun regardless.

Mess with the people handing out cards and crap on the Strip. Have fun.

I think you are thinking of The Beach

Having gone a few years ago, I must say the the Blue Man Group in the Luxor is one amazing show. I live near the Boston (Charles Playhouse) show, and have seen that and the Vegas one and you won't be disappointed.

When I went, something I enjoyed was the Las Vegas Hilton, where you guessed it, I went to the Star Trek Experience. There's a new ride there, and if you like Trek (forget the new one, it's getting better but... nvm) it's a really good time.

Other than that the Mirage fountain show is great. Happens every night with music and it's free.

Have a great time!
