What's the best way to exchange my US Dollars to Canadian Dollars?

If I use a credit card in Canada, will it automatically do the conversion for me?

what other general knowledge should I know?

There have been at least two USD -> CAD threads within the past two weeks. ;)

Your credit card *should* handle it just fine. Either that, or get some USD exchanged at a bank in your country before you go over.

1. As part of a public works program their homeless will gladly conduct the exchange for you.
2. No. Stick to cash only. Remember, you must help the homeless.
3. Canadians really like cheese.

If you're driving, kmh just about equals kmh*10 then drop the last number.

60 kmh * 10 = 600. Drop the 0 and the speed is about 60 mph.

Most credit cards will, but will also charge you a 2.5% - 3.0% exchange fee in doing so. Check with the terms of your CC. Thus it might be easier to exchange all your cash before hand and leave the CC as a last resort.

So I got it backwards.

Suck an egg.

100 kmh * 6 = 600. Drop the last zero. 60 mph. Close enough.
