For a quick business meeting, should wrap up in the afternoon around 3:30. Staying in the Kendall area, any suggestions for food/drinks after? Boss was talking South Beach, but don't know how serious.

Why would you stay in the Kendall area if your meeting is over at 3:30? That's a shit hole.

I'd have just booked where I wanted to be that night. South Beach will be probably close to an hour drive if you get on the road around 4pm even.

this...

Plus South Beach sucks for food.

A staple to check out is Joe Stone Crab. The firm I used to work for always took me there. Never had a bad meal. Be prepared to drop some coin though.

Yeah Joe's is good. Figure on at least $50 a person for just simple foods. If you are going for crab or steaks, closer to $100pp.

Add more if you like alcohol :)

I liked the Coconut Grove section of Miami better. It's quieter, less crowded, and less touristy. Lots of good places to eat, too.

At the Forge now, but might go there for breakfast before the flight tomorrow.

Forge is a good choice, one of the oldest restaurants in the country and frequented by all sorts of VIPs.

The owner lives about 10 mins from me (Alvin Malnick). His house is one of the biggest in the country at around 40,000 sq ft (and he is adding another 20,000 sq foot wing as we speak to it).

The guy is 80's and looks like he's still 50. An interesting small world thing is I used to do computer work for Brett Ratner's (the Director) brother where I grew up and he was at the home at times. For whatever series of events, Alvin Malnick because Brett Ratner's proclaimed father. Alvin Malnick was also part of executing Michael Jackson's will. They have a lot of functions there for charities, but the minimum buy-in is like $10k and usually closer to $50k.

Link to more pics and his wife who is half his age :)

One of the other largest homes in the country is about 5 minutes away, Paradisio Del Mar and it's for sale for a bargain $32,500,000!

Manalapan and the connecting towns are part of my morning commute usually.

Hope the OP is not a tip nazi as The Forge automatically adds 20% to your bill :) It's very pricey already, easy to drop $150pp there without drinks if you go with an appetizer, salad, entree and two sides. Everything is a la carte ;)

Actually The Forge is within range...places where I am at $300 and haven't even ordered drinks is a bit nuts.

However; The Forge has a major wine list that can easily turn a $150pp meal into $300+.

I think something more casual would probably fit the bill if its two guys away from the wives. hint hint.

(As I mentioned a few posts above)

I didn't take the OP as someone like that plus I am assuming the Boss is the one dictating the venue.

If I were on my own down there, it'd be S. Beach if I wanted a hook up.

If I was in a relationship and just wanted to take on the sights, Tooties may be OK...I have heard about it and that it's good, but it's also the 'tourist' club. Definitely no sex in the champagne room there. Booby Trap is like that too. Tooties is huge though. I am not sure if any of those are full nude though. A lot of the clubs are topless only and some are no lap dances outside the VIP room

The problem with Miami (and a lot of clubs today) is many clubs have no alcohol. Goldrush used to be the place down there. You still had to tip and sip, but it wasn't as enforced as some of these places. I love my drinks and spent quite a bit, it'd be like I put my 4-5th drink down for just a second to take in the sights at some clubs and some new floor fuck would come up and check the bottle and mention drinking up. Fuck that kind of place.

If you like black girls Take One is good. That place goes full nude. Playmates is good too, college girls usually or at least college age.

A lot like Scarlett's Caberet too...lots of 10's there, but they are just working for a buck...not looking to go beyond much in favors and it was really expensive the last time I was there.

I haven't been down there in a long time. The last time I was at a strip club I posted my receipts here somewhere.
