I'm going to keep a water bottle at my desk from now on....

Yeah, I almost screwed up my entire system because I spilled a fullglass of water. For measuring prupsoese, it was probably 3 or 4 cups of water. Anyway, I spilled a ton and imeediatly hit the power switch so it would shut down. It shut down fine and I was glad. Then I took off my socks are started getting water off from near where it could drip into the case with. Once I got that cleared up, I got a towel hanging on the stairs outside my room, and finished drying it up. This system is only like 1 month old too. Incase you're wondering the value of this:

From now on ins tead of a glass, I'm going to keep a water bottle with one of those pop lids so if it spills, only like a drip or two will come out.

wouldn't it be easier to put the pc under the desk, or buy a desk with a pc hutch.

Water wont kill your PC from dripping on it. Maybe if the case was open and you poured it straight on the motherboard...

It is. My desk is in an "L" shape with glass tops. My monitor is ontop at the corner of the L and my PC is right underneath the desk at the corner as well. The cum was on the right side of my desk and I was turning to the left and my hand hit the cut so it went towards the left. It was filled so it pretty much spilled on the case between where the glass meets the edge.

Mine didn't drip. The whole cup spilled pretty much right over it so I guess its what you said only onto the case. Eitherway, I was almost freaking out because it was less than a month old, and since I'm 15 and don't work, my dad bought it for me, so he'd be mad too. Since my brother got my old computer, I'd then be on a Celery 766 or a Celery 433... *sigh*

I do still get Dell 15% EPP discounts so I might have been able to get some of the new parts at a lower price, but my dad would still be mad.

I wish... I'm 15. Actually, theres like 5 more bottles, hehe, I counted, in the fridge of heineken or however you spell it, but not worth it. I can wait.
