This morning I was on I-95 on my way to work, and I see a spider run across my dashboard. Did I mention that Im terrified of spiders. I pulled over and tried to find it, but it dissapeared. So ths Saturday, Im going to home depot, buying a bug fogger, and fogging my car.

Anyone ever do this?

I think that's an excellent idea. Please post results.

LA doesn't count.

OP: Why would you fog your car, spreading a bunch of hazardous chemicals around an almost SEALED airspace that you have to breath, just because of one lousy spider? Trust me, you DON'T have an infestation, it's just one spider that happened to get in. Your health is worth more than that.

Yeah, I'm thinking this isn't such a good idea health-wise. Those foggers are usually designed for a much larger volume than a car interior. If you do it, you better let the car air out for a couple days at least.

During which time a new spider will find its home in your car.

At least you aren't like that Pimp My Ride chick that had a rat living in her Pacer.

Why not? If you can do it in a bedroom, and then let the room air out for day, why not inside a car?

i hate spiders too, but fogging a car for one lousy spider is overkill and insane. when you open the windows to air the car out another one or two will most surely come inside, among other pests since you will be forced to leave windows down.
just wait awhile and keep looking for it. i'd be terrified too and get paranoid as hell when driving, sure... but the moment you see it all you gotta do is pull over and kill it. just wait for him to reveal himself. its quite possible it will die inside if you lock it up. i've found dead spiders before. that or simply escape and you will never see it.

It was a lame joke about their smog problem. Never mind, it's too early in the morning, I haven't had enough coffee, and work is too boring for me to come up with good ones.:(

So did you spray from a chopper?

If you do this use one of the fumigators... they kill with smoke instead of spraying poison. Less carcinogenic mess, lol.

I just have a thing about chemicals in closed spaces. When I did public sprays I made damn well sure my vehicle was locked down tight.

I've done this with my T/A. I put a whole bottle of Sea Foam in it and drove around till it all burnt out.

The mythbusters did an ep that showed thoes things are flamable when too many are used and you want to use one can in a small confined area? Better hope nothing sets off a spark inside the car then
