I'm going to couchsurf

i have some business to take care of back at my homeport in Mechanicsburg, PA and i decided that this is a good chance to try this couchsurfing thing.

i've never tried this before but i found a couple on the couchsurfing website that lives in Harrisburg, PA - close to the Sasquehanna River and to Mechanicsburg. they have a couch and a cat, and i'm looking forward to meeting them. i'm in Cleveland, OH right now and i'm dreading the drive as it might be snowing tomorrow and it's a long drive.

aside from taking care of my business there, this will hopefully give me some credibility in my future couchsurfing experience... especially since i'm considering going on a vacation to Europe.

anyone here that wants to share couchsurfing stories?

www.couchsurfing.com <-- for more info.

I was thinking about it for San Diego. See thread about me staying in someones abode.

Quasmo - i remember reading your thread. still haven't decided? with a city as big as SD, you should have no problems finding a place or 2 to stay.

i'll post back late Sunday and tell you all about my adventure!

I live in York, PA, so "howdy neighbor."

(and no, you can't stay with me)

howdy ho! what do you do in York? i know a couple of guys that live there. pretty affordable housing i hear (compared to Mech/Harrisburg).

One guy i know has travelled all over thanx to couchsurfing.

Seems pretty kewl, though socially inept people like myself would likely have trouble.
