Im going NUTS! IE6.0 Problem

Switch

About the last 3 times I have installed XP, after a few weeks of use for no aparent reason I start having problems with IE windows opening really small. Like all you can see if the top of the IE bar when it opens and you have to resize the window to maximize it. This doesn't happen upon loading IE with my taskbar shortcut, just when opening a new window from within IE either by the link I click on opening it or the "Open In New Window" option.

Ive tried deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\Old WorkAreas and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Window_Placement keys and rebooting and that doesn't help the problem at all. I've tried manually resizing the window and closing it, maximizing it and closing it, etc and nothing helps.

Eventually it gets so bad I just have to format the drives and reinstall the OS. I can't find any common denominator in what's causing it but it always seems to start to show up after a month or so of having the OS installed.

Does anyone have any idea how to reset the window size on this deal or even make it open to a maximized (NOT FULL) screen.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Jay
