I'm going from John Wayne (SNA) to Oakland tomorrow

SNA almost never had any security lines and this was earlier in the day too during peak business travel time, i flew in and out of SNA weekley for about 4 months.

6:50PM should be plenty of time, also if the elite security line is even open at that time you can basically flash any card and they will let you in. I was flying southwest and flashed my United 1K card, I saw ppl flash credit cards and phone cards.

SNA is probably the quickest airport i've ever been too, I'd say one hour early will give you plenty of leeway to grab a bite at McD's.

Get there 2 hours early, bring your laptop so you can surf ATOT and have coffee while you're waiting. Better safe than sorry.

An hour is usually fine. I get paranoid and get there 2 hours before. There aren't a whole lot of power outlets near the seats, iirc.

got there around 6:45pm. no problems waiting. flight delayed 10 min, but that was no big deal

btw, SJO is the WORST airport i have EVER flown out of. terrible/confusing road signs, terrible road conditions, extremely crowded and understaffed
