I'm giving blood to the Red Cross...

Good luck to you. I have 2 orgs. that I can dontate to in my area. I prefer the one run by our local hospital network over the Red Cross operation. The Red Cross folks don't seem as friendly and accomodating as the other forlks do.

I gave in october so I should be due in a little while...

It really isn't a big deal to give blood, some people just blow it out of proportion...
 
I'm at five gallons.

However I usually do platlets because I have or dont' have some antigen that they think is spiffy for that kind of stuff.
 
They couldn't get at my blood. They said my veins were too small, but I think they were just being polite about there being too much fatty tissue.
