Im tired of this crap!! :| The past month out of the blue I started getting getting all kinds of porn spam and the past 3 days kiddie porn spam has been showing up :|:|

I did a WHOIS search for lolportal.com and suprise no matches found I then did a WHOIS search for the email addy that it came with Qwert [qwert@[deleted] and it came back with

These sick animals need to go to jail!!! In the email it say to go to their site and unsubsrcibe from their mailing list, no way am I doing that! Anybody got any ideas? I know making a complaint to the FBI wont do much but it might be start to put these bastards out of business.

I called US Customs and reported this foul email i received. The agent said he will look into the matter and he also told me to make a online report with the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. www.missingkids.com I the process left me feeling less than complete in doing my part in stopping this crap. The agent didnt sound to enthused and im sure my report will be thrown in a big pile. we will see what happens.

No joke, it very well may be. Be that as it may, I think you should set word filters for spam like "make money fast", "8##-###-####", etc.. One of my favorite things to do is to call the 800 number over and over and over and over again. It's quite humorous, and wastes their money. But more often than not, I simply don't give my e-mail out to anyone, not even legit companies, but I instead resort to www.spamhole.com for temp mail forwarding. Have almost no spam on accounts that I actually read.

I am SO F%$KING sick of porn spam. I get them CONSTANTLY on ICQ and CONSTANTLY on email. Just porn sh*t after bloody email full of crap, and in hotmail (yes I have filter turned on but I can't go on a higher setting for fear of losing real emails) lots of them have animated gifs which of course I end up seeing in work on occasion plus they waste room. God, I think people who send this stuff should just be killed instantly!!!

FOR THOSE OF YOU GETTING PORN OR OTHER SPAM ON ICQ, please change the following settings in your ICQ Security and Privacy and Connections settings (IIRC...):

* Accept messages only from ICQ users on my contact list
* Do not accept multi-recipient messages from Non-Contacts
* Do not accept WWpager messages
* Display my IP address to users on my contact list only
* (disable) allow users to see my status on the web
* Users require my authorization before messaging me

That should quash 100% of your ICQ spam. I never get any just by making these settings...

I remember reading of at least one white hat hacker group that would attack such sites. I can't remember who it was offhand though.

I'd say 90% of the email I get is spam. It's my fault too, because I used my personal email to sign up for contests and freebies in the HD forum. I should just call up my isp and ask them to delete my email account so I can start all over again.

The simple fact is that US laws do not extend beyond our borders and the internet does. Stop reading spam and you won't know it's out there and you will feel better.
