Is there anything better for the money? (<$220CAN) I need something between 1000 and 1250 watts, lets say...

Corsair isn't bad, but HardOCP thinks that the TPQ 1200 is the best 1200 watt PSU out there right now.

Uh, the best 1200 watt psu is the HCP-1200, not the TPQ 1200. The HCP is far better, awesome multi-rail, high efficiency, extremely stable dc.

Indeed the TPQ is made by Enhance, the HCP is made by Delta. So they are not even anything alike.

SO what did you end up getting? The TPQ-1200?

Antec TPQ-1200 OC (which stands for overclocking). Cool thing about this power supply is the two knobs in the back, one controlling the fan and the other the 12 volt rail....

The Antec is fine if that's all you can afford.
But if you want to run with the big dogs you'll need a Silverstone ST1500.

Ultra X4 1600W and TT Toughpower 1500W (230VAC) are also formidable contenders. The X4 is quite inefficient by today's standards but honestly if someone has 4X SLI with 480/580s methinks the last thing on their mind is a power bill.
