So I got in on the last day of canon's rebate... Not a bad deal for what I hope is a great video camera. Anyone have any experiences with it or the GL-1? I was going to go for a vx2000 but the GL-2 was a good deal cheaper.

Get a better camera, become a better filmmaker. That's how it works right? Especially for people who can't afford a phone line.

While I can sense your sarcasm, that is partly true. A better camera allows you to get more professional looking results, and will also give you the ability to work more in fields that you could never have really gotten into such as color correcting and compositing.

Unless there's a "Better Plot" adjustmant, it won't help much.

Why so bitter? I can afford a phone line now - I got a job! I don't know what your beef with me is and I don't really care... I needed a camera (my ex wanted hers back) so Instead of spending $1,000 on a mediocre camera I spent more on something better as an investment.. I'm the first to admit that I'm an amateur - here's a quote from my site (where I'm recruiting other like minded students):
I?m pretty mediocre at being a director but that?s the point ? I strive to be better and if you?re like me then please don?t ignore this?

I'm a decent writer and a terrible director - I admit that .... Why are you knocking me when by practicing as aggressively as I do I'm only trying to learn and better myself?
