I'm gambling on an unproven new case

I have a P-160 and it's too big. So the P-180 is out of the question. I like the P-150 but it is expensive and has a few problems - rubber HD suspension , power supply etc. saw the "new Solutions" series cases on the Antec website - really took a liking to the NSK 6500. Looks like a less blinged P-150. Haven't been able to find any test/use write-ups online.

Only found a couple of places offering them for sale (outside of Australia) and they were pending their getting any in stock.

Pre-ordered from http://www.c-source.com for $100 with free shipping.

They expect to have them in warehouse on the 19th - I should see it about the 24th at the latest. I'll try to give you a decent report once I gut my P-160 and set up the 6500. I plan on replacing the stock Antec power supply with a Scythe KamarikiII that's now running (ever, ever so quietly) in my P-160.

This is probably the right way to do this Text

It looks like a refresh of some of their SLK series. The NSK 4400 looks like an SLK1650 under the skin.

Nothing unproven about it - just a 3700BQE with a new skin on it. Heck, one would think they had mounted the drives on the outside or something rad like that...

.bh.

That case looks pretty nice. Pitty it doesn't come without a power supply and made out of aluminum.

You don't need to use the suspended rubber mounting if you don't want to.

I just got the NSK4400 yesterday and i like it so far.

I wanted the NSK6500 but couldn't find anywhere that had on in stock.

The PSUs that come in these are actually very good for the overall price.

Mine is a 380w with dual +12v @ 16A each.

The 6500 comes with a 430w with dual +12v @17A each.

Unless you are running SLI/Crossfire, these are perfect IMO.

I got a thing for Scythe right now😀

I've got a Scythe Ninja on my P D 940 with a Scythe 120 fan. A scythe 120 rear exhaust fan (the new scythes with the Sony bearings), and a Scythe kamariki II 550 power supply. The only thing I hear is the Zalman 700 on my video card. I "think" I can get quieter with the NSK 6500 case. Right now my CPU idles at 44 and when working at the only game i do, Flight Simulator, it gets to about 56. I think I can beat those numbers (lower) with the new case also.
