Blades are very, very, very expensive.

Very. It is an awesome razor. I've been using one for more than a year now, and I have very sensitive skin. I change them once every 2 weeks or so. It depends, I don't shave every day.

I've just recently made the move to the Mach 3 Turbo over the Mach 3. I shave about every other day and usually go about 5-6 shaves before I have to change the razor.

WEll, I have had Mach3 for 2 months and I haven't changed the blade. I also only shave once a week :) For some reason I just can't grow any hair on my face, except peach fuzz, and I'm 18. I glad that I can't :)

Not too often.. my facial hair is not really coarse.

But if a female "borrows" it.. the blade is ruined..

So if you have women in your house.. guard your Mach3 with your life.

I shave daily and a blade lasts me about a week. Yes it's a little pricey but TOTALLY worth it.

I don't change mine nearly enough, but i did just switch to the turbo from the regular since the blades were the exact same price. They work great.

Usually after 5 or 6 shaves. You do feel it when you need to change a razor though, since it starts pulling your skin.

Mach 3 rules all. I have been using one for like 2 years now, and I can't use anything else.

I probably go 4-5 shaves on a blade, but I have a pretty sensitive face so might be able to get more out of one if you're tougher than me! ;)

What does M3 Turbo offer that the regular M3 doesn't? Why should I consider 'upgrading'?

Thanks for any info you can provide,

CK

FWIW, the mach 3 turbo blades work on the standard mach 3 handle so a handle upgrade is not necessary.

A good electric will be cheaper and quicker than the Mach3. (After a period of time of course) I have a Mach3 which I use to shave my arms and occasionally my legs (awaits laughter) but the only razor that touches my face is my Norelco.

Hmm, I'll have to consider trying the Mach 3 Turbo blades....but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Maybe I'll just buy a 4 pack to try.

RagingBitch, all electrics I've tried make my face break out, and have never been as close as Mach3. So no electric for me! :)

I hear you can overclock the Mach3 turbo. that's right, you can get double the amount of shaves with just a single blade now. :D

I have no clue why everybody likes the Mach 3 line. I can't stand the widely pivoting head...not enough control for my tastes. And the PRICE! :Q

I've been using disposable Schick razors because I'm tired of paying Gillette's kings ransom for frickin' blades. The Schicks are ~$4.50 for a 15 pack and they each last about 12-15 shaves. That's about $9 a year for razors. Their performance is also very good.

I'm using the 2 blades Gillette model. Sensor Excel, I think. I scored about 10 packages for cheap at one of the .com closeouts a couple years ago.

I shave every weekday and I change my blade about once a month. If I ever run out, I will go to the Mach 3.

I can not stand disposable razors, all of them butcher my face. The mach 3 rules, since the blades are very expensive (even buying at costco) i use them until they are dull as sh*t.

Does an electric razor such as the Norelco give as close a shave as a normal razor? Like, no stubble close.

I usually shave every other day, sometimes every day. My hair is pretty soft though and I can shave with just water. A blade usually lasts me a month.

So, is there really a difference between the mach 3 blades and the mach3 turbo blades?
