I'm feeling some unusual stomache pains and my f*cken doctor is a jacka$$

Almost everybody in my family has Hepatitis C and many times I went to my family doctor to get testings. He repeatedly denied me saying I don't need it without giving me a reason. Last week I went again. I was determined to get tested or be given a reason. The reason he gave me was that I got a vaccine shot in May of last year. I never recalled being tested for the darn thing let alone be given a vaccine. And lately my abdominal has been feeling weird. I consistently have sharp pains all over my abdominal and even at the liver area. My poop has some blood in it and I've been feeling "full" although some days I don't eat until 2-3pm. I'm doing some research on WebMD and needless to say I'm afraid I have developed something because of this doctor's ignorance.

Yes I can just go to another doctor but I'm on Medi-Cal. He is appointed as my family doctor and I can't even goto the emergency room without his consent. If I submit a request for change of doctor, it would probably take at least two weeks and by then I don't know what to do. And this week I'm so busy with 2 tests and classes all the way until Saturday. I don't know what to do 🙁

If it turns out I have developed something that could have been caught early on, I'm suing the sh!t out of him.

Get a new doctor.

There is no vaccine for Hep C. Hep B yes, Hep C no.

Go to the emergency room. yeah, you may have to pay a $50 deductible, but what's your life worth to you?

*Edit - It's none of my business, so don't answer if you don't want, but Hep C is a bloodborne pathogen and is almost identical to HIV in the methods of transmission. I'd be curious to know how your entire family contracted this deadly disease. I'm curious because I work at the CDC in disease surveilllance.

Get another doctor even if it takes two weeks. Hepatitis is serious business and blood in your feces is never good. If you keep going back to this fsck up I will not feel sorry for you.

<< My poop has some blood in it >>

dude that's bad no matter what. go to another doctor or something, even if it has to come out of pocket. worry about suing them later. i dont know how your system works but that's ridiculous for them to be doing what they are. blood in poo can be majorly bad, from internal bleeding. it could just be hemoroids however. not trying to scare you but you gotta get that checked out. btw is it bright red or dark?

Sh1t man, hep C is some serious business man. You'd better get that checked out from someone you feel is reliable...

Are you sure it's not B dude? I also don't want to scare you either but my mom has hep C and is on a waiting list for a liver transplant. GET IT CHECKED OUT!

you say you have classes and tests.... you might talk to your school... sometimes they have their own clinic or have some partnership with another clinic....

OR... worse comes to worse you can always go to a county clinic or hospital.... i'd suggest the county hospital and I'd go at some horrible our like 2:30-4am... when there aren't too many people...

the entire visit... tests medication etc... shouldn't cost you more than $70.... and then you can always get the rate lowered depending on your income.... I know of some people who don't pay at all...

Yes it's B. Sorry for the confusion. I'm also just afraid that I'm scaring myself which people tend to do. And the blood is bright red. There isn't much on it and the last time I pooped, there wasn't any. I can fill you guys on the status later today if I goto the bathroom 😛

You need to get to a doc without delay. Blood in the stool is a pertty ominous sign. From the symptoms you describe, however, it sounds like you may have an ulcer, and if it's a bleeder (which blood in the stool can indicate), it's dangerous. My brother got a bleeding ulcer (really bad one) and lost over half his blood volume in 24 hours. After a trip to the er, intubation, and blood given to him to get him stable, it took months for him to recover.

The "full" feeling you describe could be anything from excess stomach acid to a belly full of blood. If it is an ulcer, and I emphasize *if,* make sure you eat regularly. An empty stomach and an ulcer don't mix. Drink water, and lots of it. It helps dilute the acid. Take something like zantac, not Pepto, to cut down on acid as well.

My advice, though, is still to get to an er or doctor right away. I'm not a doctor, and what I said above should not be taken as a diagnosis. These types of things are nothing to fool with.

Belly full of blood. Yuck!

Your doctor sucks nads. Just get to another one soon. I don't think you're dying but obviously you need to see somebody.

Blood in stool doesnt always mean something is wrong. Probobably just hemorrhoids right around the inside of your anus. If it itches or hurts, that is probably what it is. Have you had your appendix taken out? Are you overweight? Try taking some acidophilus suppliments

He's right. Speaking from experience, having the doctor determine if it's hemorrhoids is no fun. I got them in my senior year of college while planning a wedding and facing finals. Stress sucks. 😛

Friend of mine had this once too. It turned out to be nothing but when he saw the blood he went to the ER and didn't take the liberty of first showering and cleaning his anus, thus making the matter far more disgusting for the doctor who had to go rooting around in there.

If it was just the blood, I'd be inclined to agree that it's probably just hemorrhoids, but then the sharp pains and the full feeling wouldn't really make sense, would they?

yes it does itch sometimes. and yeah i had my appendix taken out january of last year.

Red blood in the stool would be bleeding at or near the rectum/anus...usually hemorrhoids. Bleeding from the upper GI tract usually presents what is described as "Black Tar-like stools" from the action of digestive juices.

There are many other causes, most of them are fairly serious. You should get checked out.

FWIW

yeah that's why i asked light or dark blood. light means it's near the anus and not as serious as dark. could be something as common as hemeroids (sp). dark blood usually is internal bleeding or problems much further up the poop chute (colon, intestines etc). i should know 🙁

<-----has big stomach problems 🙁

Man I have Ulcerative Colitis and I can tell you to get checked out fast I started having the same problem but worse and was eventually told what I have.
