I'm embarrassed to be an American

Ya, I thought it was selective at first, but they interviewed a couple of "older" folks who didn't even know how many world wars there had been. The selection was a little lopsided, but there were some surprises for sure.

Would be interesting to see how many people got edited out for knowing the right answers. Just because you interview a few idiots does not mean the entire country is stupid.

Honestly. Given enough time, they can find a stupid person to say anything.

I've traveled enough to know that the US doesn't have a monopoly on idiocy, but as mosh said this is some pretty selective interviewing.

Attempted bribery of a public official, ESPECIALLY judges and politicians, should be a death penalty crime.

The average citizen of most countries is not usually the sharpest crayon in the box. I mean look at what America votes for every 4 years to lead their nation...

I'm assuming this was a little over-exuberant but I also feel strongly about bribery and the apparent acceptance of it as the natural course of things.

I had the thought ~15 years ago (I'm sure it was completely original...) that politicians' salaries should be bumped up - maybe tripled or more - and then the many laws that already exist enforced to the fullest. It will take some icons going to prison to make a difference. This would put the onus on the politician instead of the potential briber.

k, that was funny, but as has been said, go to the streets in any country and conduct enough interviews and you'll find plenty of dumbasses.

It's not that Americans are stupid, People are stupid.

I am embarrassed to be American because of creationism, nationalism, violent culture, low reading scores, high school dropouts, and gun ownership.

So I have 2 choices;
1: move somewhere else (family is here)
2: stay and try to make changes.

I couldn't even finish the video the stupidity was killing my brain cells.

"Who won the Vietnam War?"
...
"We Did... HAHAHAHAHA"

Must be the same people who call my work after a decent thunder storm asking if we have power; well we answered the phone didn't we?

...or the same people who make right turns from left lanes while driving.
