I'm doubting my ability to keep my pic hosting site going.

I've now got 767mb used of 800mb available. It's the 10th of the month and I've used over 12gb of my available 15gb bandwidth. 527 users have signed up on the site. I'm going to have to restrict direct linking to files and disable registering new accounts. Either I'm going to have to start charging to use the site, get some sponsors, or take it down cause I just cant afford to pay for 30-40gb/month of traffic.

I don't know if any of this is really useful, but jsut FYI. There's a lot of people out there using my site, and I'd like to keep you guys informed as to the status of the site.

Trying not to sound critical - but if you are offfering free picture hosting, how can you expect to not hit bandwidth limits?

Most of the free pic hosting sites have shut it down.

ANyone can join, but the majority of users are from AT.

Why dont you start erasing pictures starting from the oldest ones, or put a time limit on pictures since usualy people only use it as a temp gallery to show people right?

Well, if you mainly frequent AT, why not make it AT member's only? Not excluding any friends & family you want accounts given to.

I don't know how you're setup but you might look at the file size. Alot of people have no clue and will up load huge images. I'd setup like a 150k max size per image, and delete all accounts that haven't had a login within say the last 45 days.
