I have played the entire C&C series from back in the playstation days to becoming the supreme commander of tiberian sun for a month, css has recently taken lots of my precious time and now im done.
i do enjoy gaming but i find that an hour turns to 5 hours real fast with them.
im going back to learning about stuff and spending my time with things that better myself.

maybe ill even start making money, who knows.
is there anyone with me?

No. I can play at a decent pace, and not get obsessed. Good idea on your part though ... 🙂

tonight i'm trying out Bad Motha Truckers and Area 51, so it'll have to wait until at least after that. but... no. sorry

I stopped when I got my apartment, now I"m too busy working, going out with friends, to clubs, or with girls. Honestly I would've quit earlier pretty much except when I lived at home it was in the boonies like 40 minutes from anythign fun

I won't give up gaming until I genuinly don't feel the urge not to play the games anymore. My only limitation is my computer which is sh!tty. Long live Max Payne and Half Life.

Already there, mate. And it's much better this way. In my case, at least. I do want to play HL2 one day, though.

you cancelled yourself out buddy

no thanks man. Gaming saves me money in the long run. (distracts me from all the other stuff I could spend money on)

i do play at a decent pace, but the time i spend gaming i used to spend reading about computers or engines or whatever.
the games are becoming better and better to the point that you start to play and your just like holy crap i love this game. its hard to just shut it off.
i might have 2 hot chicks saying come in the jaccuzzi and im like ok after this round lol

so i would have to think that games today are just too good and the time playing them is still no different then the time spent playing frogger on nintendo. its just a waste of time.

5 hours at CSS is not enough, i can play until my eyelids fall to the ground lol

only guys who suck at games would say that ;^D ..j/k. or maybe not. i myself play a little halo online every now and again, but nothing like the days when i'd be skipping classes for cs or hldm. i guess i outgrew games. until xbox360/ps3 come out heehee.

so basically ... you are completely shutting out something you enjoy greatly, and are starting to enjoy even more and more because according to you, they are getting better? you are shutting it out because you can't control yourself playing them in moderation, and can't find time to do other stuff you like to do?

sounds to me like you got a problem dude, most people i know don't have any type of problem near that heh. i play xbox probably 4-5 times a week and can turn it on/off whenever i want to do something else.

its not like i play every chance i get and cant stop, i do stop, but im looking at the past 3 months how many hours i have been playing and the result of it.
sure i enjoy it, but there are no results really. i am a woodworker and i can make any kind of furniture with inlays and whatever, you spend hours doing it, its very enjoyable, and the result is you have something to show for it.

thats my complaint, yes i do enjoy it, but in the end im at the same place where i started.
i havent learned anything, and the only thing that has been accomplished is my 455 has gotten fatter.

so im just canceling them out all together.
and its not because i suck at them, i was world champion at tiberian sun for a month and was top ten every month i played. ok css i not the greatest but i havent played that long either, im usually more kills then deaths though.
