I'm currently on the line with a telemarketer...

They directed me to the site: "freegiftsamerica.com" they claim i need to spend $4.99 for shipping of $1000 worth of votures(sp?) so I can get products from their site absolutely free. I've been talking to the guy on the phone for a while and I'm wondering what to do/say (not really taking this seriously). They have now moved me to higher management to explain this, what do you think of this?

It's just a poor guy making minimum wage trying to put food on the table (or crack in his pipe - whatever floats your boat, I say). Leave him be, tell him thanks but you're not interested. If you hate telemarketers, yelling at the phone-jokeys they hire to ply their trade isn't going to do anything about it. If you're in the US, register your number at donotcall.gov.

This guy sounded like he was from india, I don't care too much about the upper management because they're not the ones suffering as much as you claim the marketers themselves are. I'm just pissed off they got my information and they've yet to tell me how.

I tell them if they don't have authority to delete me, then find someone who does and don't ever call me again.
