im cracking ogr, i want to do rc5

There is actually a better way which is detailed in this FAQ. The other way completely disables OGR, even when RC5 is over. If you do it the way in the FAQ, the client will only run OGR as a last resort, like when RC5 has been completed.
 
ScienceWiz is right. The result will be to add:

[buffers]
frequent-threshold-checks=4

to your DNETC.INI file.

This, in addition to

[misc]
project-priority=RC5,OGR,CSC=0,DES=0

will cause you to run RC5 until the contest ends, and then go on to OGR.
