im considering buying a projector

right now im just about 100% sold on getting this projector: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16889106017

the only thing im not sure of is if i should get this screen http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824999109 for $140 with shipping, or if i should try some other method.

I have no problem with painting my wall whatever color is best if that will give me the same quality as a screen.

So should i get the screen for 140 or paint. Or if theres another way please let me know.....

if it helps i will be using this primarily for xbox, then pc, then tv/movies.

I have that same projector..i have a screen for it. But thats more so because i didnt have the wall room to projector onto.

If you really want to go inexpensive, goto Home Depot and spend $9 to see if you like it. Goto the Behr section of paint and get swatch 770E-2 which is called Silver Screen or 770E-3 which is called Pewter Mug. Those are the unofficial enthusiast DIY projector screen colors for those that want to paint their own screens.... I used Pewter mug on my screen and love it.

I'd recommend you stick to a flat finish, as the other sheens will have bright spots.

If you are looking for even more flash, some people mix a pearlescent paint into the 770E colors and it gives the screen a bit of a reflectivity.

If you don't like it, you'll only be out $9 for a quart of paint.
