Who actaully won the Korea vs France match yesterday? Last I saw it was tied 1-1 but according to the website, someonoe won but it didn't say which.

the tied, and nobody won, maybe the website was reffering to the goal france made, but was negated by the referee. the ball went inside the stripe but the goalie pushed it out, at the angle the referee was at he did not see it break the plane of the goal line......sucks for france they should of won 2-1.

Is france going to debate that goal where the korean goalie deflected the ball when he was standing behind the goal line? The video evidence showed that the ball went past the goal line before he deflected it.

The shootout and golden goals are the second round, right?

Yes, since no one needs to win at the moment in each match, as it's based on groups.
When it's elimination (2nd round) they have extra time -> penalties.

breaking the plane is an NFL concept.

in soccer according to those i've talked to, it's not breaking the plane thats important, the ball has to be completely past the line (in my opinion it makes it a lot tougher to call this than just the simple NFL rule of breaking the plane.

the goalie was clearly behind the line but the question is, the the complete ball pass the line, in my opinion it did but it is also harder to see if it did or not based on footage i've seen than it is to say it broke the plane. it CLEARLY broke the plane and no angle could dispute that.

Was it just me or was France playing pretty dirty in that game?

from the perspective of a korean fan i thought france was pretty dirty.

the worst was when the one french player took down the korean player by the throat. that is just uncalled for. there is NO WAY you can call that incidental contact.

he had a hold of the guys throat. sure the initial contact could have been accidental, but you have to let go, if you don't it becomes intentional, and he took the guy down by the throat. that was a red card penalty that the refs missed.

Because Korea have won a game and France have only tied both games they have played, Korea is currently higer than France in their group based on points.

I definitely saw a 1 red and 1 or 2 yellows as well.

True. But swiss also beat togo by 2:0.

Korea vs Swiss will determine which team will move up. If we tie, because it was 1:1 against france, I believe korea moves up. Im hoping for a win, but Swiss will attack furiously on thursday.

Either way, I am proud of korea.

Japan has dropped out. hahahah ??? ????!!! ?? ?? ???.. ???? ??? ??? ???? ??????!

korea has to win, unless togo beats france (not likely).

if france beats togo and swiss and korea tie, all three will have 5 points, swiss will win the tiebreaker against korea because of greater goals for and goals against differential.

so unless france only beats togo by 1 goal, france will likely have an edge as well.

in OTW unless korea beats swiss, they don't have much of a chance of moving on.
