That is one of your parent's cousin.

It would be your 2nd cousin.

Your Grandmother's sister is your Great Aunt

2nd cousin, twice removed.

edit, I mean 2nd uncle, once removed.

Actually, it's first cousin, once removed, according to Brother's Keeper.

Your first cousin, once removed, is the child of your first cousin or is the child of your great uncle or great aunt. (See also REMOVED COUSINS)

oh well, I was close. ;)

I'm the great uncle of a 30 year old. figure that one out.

You're your own grandpa?

I'm the uncle of somebody older than me. His son (my great nephew) is 30.

First cousin once removed

Shared grandparents - cousins
Shared great-grandparents - second cousins
Shared great-great-grandparents - third cousins

One generation off - once removed
Two generations off - twice removed

So your mother's cousin = first cousin, once removed
Grandmother's cousin = first cousin, twice removed
Mother's second cousin = second cousin, once removed
Grandmother's second cousin = second cousin, twice removed

Just shut up and not address him unless somebody introduces him.
Or just call uncle. That always helps.
