both 512K ... There must be a simple answer here ! 1.6A is Kosher and 1.8A is not !?
Please enlighten me ...
Thanks

1.6a is probably easier to overclock, most get to 133fsb (2133mhz) on default or small vcore increase, alot of 1.8a's do, but not all will

They don't make the 1.6A anymore so they are harder to find...as far as overclocking when the 1.6A and the 1.8A come out the 1.6A was a much better overclocker but now that they have update the stepping in the 1.8A you can get 2.4Ghz out of a 1.8A chip and some can go as high as 2.8Ghz and with the new C1 stepping ppl are hoping to hit 3.0Ghz
There is someone on the Overclocker forum that have a 1.8A C1 stepping that running it at 3.5Ghz!!! :Q
Not to bad for a 1.8A chip 🙂

Bottom line unless they are guaranting a high oc I would not pay that much for a 1.6a....Most of them at the end did 2.4 at default vcore but like was mentioned above the 1.8as now with bo stepping often can do 2.6-2.7 at default and therefore should offer a beter oc.....
