I'm confused by this dell e-mail and fedex statement

I got an e-mail from dellat 1:36 pm on 9/18 stating that

"we are experiencing an unexpected delay and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 10/2/2003."

At this point ^ the package was already "in transit" since 9/17

for the hell of it I checked the fedex tracking page and I had a tracking number...

I live in columbus, ohio and here's what the fedex status page said

Sep 18, 2003 6:00 am Pickup status COLUMBUS OH Pre-routed meter pkg picked up

I'm not quite sure what this means? Does dell have a shipping plant of sorts in columbus?

The estimated delivery date is for the 23rd...now, hopefully, the dell e-mail doesn't apply to me and they already got my order through...if so, by the status of the fedex page does it mean it's ready to be picked up in columbus? I'd much rather pick it up tomorrow than wait till the 23rd for it to be delievered ...Or is it simply on its way to columbus...

sorry if this is a stupid question, I've had a long day and was just hoping someone could help clarify this...Thanks.

i just have the 1901fp monitor
