I'm at a LAN... I brought my parents' 17" monitor, which only does 1280x960 at 60hz (72 unsupported). Remember Kung Fu? Kermit wore sunglasses... I now realize that he wore it so that his early 90s 60hz refresh rate monitor wouldn't flicker
This is great. I feel like an idiot, but at lease I'm not having siezures.
 
During my migraine onsets (white auras), I tried wearing sunglasses while continuing to work on the computer... that didn't work for too long... migraines. too. painful.

You probably don't notice it though... I notice anything lower than 75hz. 70 is bearable, but 60 is not.
 
Can anyone explain why you would go to a LAN then join some god damn internet server to play? I hate these damn Half Life mods in the first place... it's even worse playing on the internet. CS is okay, but DoD is absolute horsesh!t. So I'm posting here instead of gaming.


And... what the fock is with these gaming geeks' obsession with caffeine? It's not that cool...
 
I need to add to my rant... these CS mods have horrible gameplay. They are clunky as hell. What the hell is up with crouching then jumping to get over sandbags??? There is no flow or rhythm like Tribes 2.
 
I always enjoyed LAN parties. Playing by yourself over the net just isn't the same as being in the same room with ten people yelling at the same game.
