I'm changing my name....

... and I was wondering if any of you have gone through thr process? I see all these "name change form" packages(online) one can buy, but is there a more direct route to do so? Is it very easy to do by one's self? I just moved from Iowa to Washington, but I did read that Washington and South Dakota don't have a limit of time set as residence for this type of legal venture. So I suppose I'll just do it here in Wa. =)

Unless used as a last name, John Locke. I've never seen it used as a first name.

you can go to your local town/city hall and ask for name change papers, too, you know. 🙂

When you get married, all you have to do is fill out one wedding form and one social security form (both were free when my wife did it). If you do it just for kicks, like you are there may be a small fee, but I wouldn't think it would be very high at all. Just go down to your local city hall and ask for the name change forms.
