My friend played BF2:SF for about a week and got tired of it. I bought it from him and would like to play it. Can I install it and link it to my account?

I think it is locked to your friends account.

If it works anything like BF2 vanilla, it shouldn't matter. As long as the cdkey is valid and not in use at the same time... then it doesn't matter what accounts you log into with it. It's not like steam and guild wars where the account is tied to a special cd key.

Again, this is with my experience from BF2 so the expansions could be different.

Here's the deal. You can install it, you can play on it, you can get unlocks, but the moment your friend tries to play SF, he just simply cant.

I spread my Special Forces to my cousins, and brothers and told them to not play SF when I want to play. That's all.
