I'm buying a PSP in a few minutes

I've only played Lumines and some crappy fighting game, any suggestions for what I should buy? Traditionally I like sports, racing, and FPS games the best. I'm probably only going to buy 2 or 3 games tonight, then buy more from the forums later.

Anyone know what games update the firmware to 1.52?
Wipeout or Ridge Racer?
