I'm buying a motherboard on sunday, please help!!!

I'm planning to replace my old celeron 478 rig but i'm still undecided on which platform to choose. Form my budget I can only choose between a 945p mobo/intel pentium D 805 or an AMD nforce4 ultra or sli/athlon 64 3000+ (X2 3800+ is way beyond my budget). I'll be using my new pc mainly for web content creation, a little gaming (like need for speed most wanted), and a little video editing. Which platform should i go for? one more question, can I play most wanted at decent settings with a 7600 GS or should I go with a GT? Your answers would be most welcome. Thanks!🙂
 
'coz if i were to choose the amd route i'd like to go for either MSI K8N-Neo4 Platinum/Epox 9NPA+ Ultra (for a bit of overclocking) or an ASUS A8N-SLI just in case i decide to go with a dual graphic card configuration. and these 2 boards are in my bugdet anyway. now please advise me, an intel 805 or an athlon 64 3000+ configuration? my friend has a 925X/intel 530J @ 3.6 GHz and it's still not fast enough for video encoding. so i figured a cheap intel dual core cpu on a 945P board would be faster. but i want to play NFS most wanted decently as well😕

How much RAM does your friend have with the 945P?

I was looking into the k8n Neo4 Platnium for myself and I read this:

"We at HardOCP are sorry to report that this MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard has experienced errors in the field with overclockers. There seem to be some bugs that MSI cannot fix that are specific to this board that we never experienced in our testing. That said, we are pulling our award given, and advise you to look elsewhere should you be in the market for an enthusiast motherboard."

I just starting researching this board and don't know if the above still applies. Since I want to OC an Opteron, I may not go with this board. I did read that the above supposedly applied to Winnies and Venices only so I'm not sure if my opteron will be effected. I need to investigate further.

Intel PentiumD 920 presler , 65nm technology , more cooler , and more overclockable .

woh! thanks for all your suggestions people, they're very much appreciated. so i'll go with the intel system then. my friend has 1 GB of DDR2 533 on his 925X mobo Budarow, thanks for shedding some light on the MSI board😉. but because of my tight budget i can only go for an 805, but not sure about the motherboard yet. you guys know a cheap motherboard preferably with an intel chipset which is a good overclocker? i could also only afford 1 gig of ram, don't know if that would be enough though🙁
 
Friend if you like to play games on your computer, go for the MSI K8N Neo4. It is not true that i has problems with overclocking.
I have the same board and i overclock my 2,0 Ghz Athlon3200 to 2,53 ghz. And it runs great. The mobo is the highest quality in the world
and runs great on stock speeds. That's why it is strongly recomended by enthusiasts. Go for it!
If you like professional system with lots of CPU power i recomend Intel platform. MSI 945P Platinium is a great choice for your limited budget.
And something else, GF 7600GS is faster than GF7600GT. It has less pipelines (cheaper) but has faster GPU and memory clocks (faster).
