I'm bummed out today - my cat died yesterday

threads like this restore my faith and compassion for the human race, but at the same time i am very sorry for your loss OP. ive had my own share of bad experiences losing pets and i know it is hard. 🙁

I miss him dearly. He was a gift on my birthday from my wife the year before we got married. he was my only compainion in the house for a while when I first moved out on my own 12 years ago (until we got married and my wife moved in). The hardest part was telling my son (he is 5) that Dusty was gone. 🙁

Getting ready for work will never be the same without my "little brown buddy" sitting on the vanity top waiting to greet me as i get out of the shower.

I wish pets could live as long as we do... they are truly amazing...

I don't know what I'd do if something happened to my cat 🙁

just kidding dude LOL. i've had lots of pets go. i've missed them all. at least they aren't suffering anymore. my favorite was lynx, a cat that had no tail (was like a manx i think). he was always really friendly and would even eat his food while he was carried around. i'll miss him always 🙁

Yep, sometimes life just stinks - but we just have to deal with it.

Stepped out of the shower to dry off this morning and it hit me again - no Dusty 🙁

He was the coolest cat - I just recently learned about the breed he was:

MAINE my excellent compatriot

They make the coolest sounds - that is another thing I *REALLY* miss - him following me from room to room and making that half purr/half meow sound:

"Maine Coons are generally very quiet and do not meow much. However, they are noted for their ability to trill their meows, which sounds like a combination of a purr and a meow, and they tend to make this sound when happy or startled. "

I know what it's like man 🙁. To sum it up a illegal doctor who managed to get a job at the local vet put my cat in alot of pain and ended up killing the cat that my mom had before I was born, and who I had known my whole life. I'm sorry man I know what it's like to lose a pet 🙁

I'd want to do a little "unauthorized surgery" on that supposed "doctor" myself after something like that!
