I'm building a new system, should I upgrade the PSU?

So I'm building a new system with an Intel E8400 and a Radeon 4850 512 MB graphics card. Is my power supply from my old system enough for these components? This is my first time with a graphics card that requires power directly from the PSU, and I don't really know anything about this 12V rail business. I can't give a direct link (blasted Flash-based pages), but just click power supplies, Vortec series, Vortec 500W. http://www.xgbox.com/

Just make sure you get atleast 19A on the 12v rail.. I think thats what most cards require.. but maybe the new 4800's are more. My 8800gt is fine with 19 amps. That 500w PSU should be fine..but check out the psu I have in my signature..its only like 70 bucks AR and is awesome.

19A is more then what the card will need but doesn't leave enough power for the rest of the system. The system mentioned in the OP needs a quality PSU that offers a good 30A or more on the combined 12V rails. If the PSU can actually live up to the specs on its label then you should be fine. But i can't tell you of the PSUs quality. So there is no telling if it will live up to those specs and if it can be trusted for more then 18 months of use. But some of the reviews seam positive.
