Intel's new FSB is due out in May and I dont want to wait that long. It sounds like the ATI 9800 Pro fits my requirements. I just now have to find an DDR ASUS MOBO so I can be set for future memory requirements and for dual-channel DDR chipsets.

I'm sure I'm probably mis-understanding your post but I'll just make the point that buying a single channel DDR motherboard now may allow you to buy higher speed DDR memory in the future but it doesn't mean that you can upgrade the board to dual channel capability later on. If dual channel appeals to you and you want a mobo now, go Granite Bay. If you can wait a bit, other dual channel motherboards will be out soon.

I believe I will go the route of buying a single channel DDR motherboard now and then upgrade to higher speeds of DDR memory in the future. Then again I can swap out the MOBO for a dual channel down the road if desired.

I was just hung up on the RAMBUS vs DDR based boards for performance. I know the RAMBUS RAM has come down alot so I wasn't that concerned with the price of it but I didn't realize that the DDR RAM is now on pace to surpass it.

Ok, now I see what you meant 1Man, that's sounds like a good plan.

Thanks for the input. Would you also suggest pc1066 RAMbus RAM with the P4 or DDR?
No, I'd got with DDR333/400 on an Intel chipset that officially supports 333 MHz memory. Get two sticks of 512 MB and then you'll be set for future memory requirements and for dual-channel DDR chipsets.

^ I agree with BFG 100%. Go with a Granite Bay motherboard (dual channel DDR), A Radeon 9800 Pro and 2 512MB sticks of DDR400.
