im building a Dual Amd rig

Im actually following a guide from overclockers .
Well i was considering substituting some of the parts, maily the case.
As far as the chips go, this person recommended these fans - Panaflo L1A fans on a Thermalright SK-7.
I know the heatsink works like magic but do you think these particilar fans, running as such a low RPM would be sufficent to cool an Tbred B 1700 Jiuhb at 2.0, 2.1 or even 2.2Ghz. Im looking for something that can keep it cool but will not be loud.
BTW i just noticed that the 2500 do very well in overclocks. - Does any one know if these can be converted to MP's
all feedback is welcomed.
Thanks

I use Vantec Stealths for that purpose. However for some reason unknown to me. Nobody seems to like Vantec's 😕.
They cool better than the L1A's and put out the same amount of noise.

In either case, I do believe the L1A's might just have enough umph for your OC. At least with an Alpha heatsink sporting a OC'ed t-bred.

I am no AMD expert (Intel fanboy), but I do seem to recall a few threads around saying that people do get Bartons to run on a dually. A little search and you should find something to help out.

Yes, you can run dual Bartons, however they do not always work, as seen in this thread on 2cpu.com. There is a hack to turn a Barton in to an SMP chip seen at hardwarezone.com but the motherboards do not support the 333mhz fsb required. An SK7 with a low flow fan would probably cut it as long as you have plenty of airflow in the case.

You're going to have to hard-mod the multipliers on your chips. If you're comfortable doing that, you're golden. I've got a pair of 2100+s modded to 2.26GHz on an A7M266-D.
