I'm back to searching for ET and I've contributed my rig Accelerator to the cause and over the next few days I'll be adding Mrs. Tao's Writing Machine and my PIII 1GHz work machine to the effort also. All running the CLI version of the Seti client.

It's not the vast fleet some of you guys/gals have but it ought to help.
 
You have rejoined the search at a very good time ... we will be re-examining the "top 166 all time candidates" pretty soon. 🙂

Though the first indications are that ET is not there, it will be left to the S@H crunchers like us to make the detailed examination. 😉
 
Thanks everyone. I have a question now.

What is the status of my initial WUs and my account there? I am still listed from the first time I worked for TA. The system let me sign up with the same name again (SeekingTao), will it let me post WUs to the same account? And how can I change my homepage URL for that old "SeekingTao" account?
 
Nevermind, my initial 45 WUs are lost to me. Seti@Home created a new SeekingTao account for me and I can't get at the old account since I lost the password. 🙁 Since it's only 45 WUs, can I get someone to remove my old account from the team? I'll make it up quick, promise.
 
DO you have any access to the old email account you had when you started the old account?
If so you can get them to send the password to you at that email address.

No, the old account was an @home account and they're gone now. I guess I'll just have to suck it up.
 
Too bad, but leaving the account on the TeAm means the WU's still count for our TeAm, even if they don't add to your current standing.
It's nicer that way 😉

There is no way to remove an account from the TeAm other than the person who has the password leaving. That was a problem during the cheating scandal that teams knew people were cheating but couldn't remove them.

There may be a way to combine the two accounts. If you are interested PM me.
 
Actually we can get rid of inactive accounts ,but whats the point?Like Wiz says if they've got WUs then leave them their🙂
Or if you can get the account merged but don't hold your breathe😉

Oh yeah, my new computer is cranking out the WUs. I have an average of 2hr20min4.4sec per WU. That's just my main rig and the wife says I can use her computer also. 🙂 I need to beef it up some though.
