I got a new PC at work, an HP 1.7GHz P4, so I decided to see how it would do with SETI. Loaded the GUI client for the heck of it, and OMG! I haven't run the GUI client in a couple years so the last time I saw the graphics move by it was MUCH slower. :) Anyways, I've had it running SETI Driver all weekend. Where is a current place where I can check stats to see how this box did?

Also, did we ever find a way to take care of the Outlook 2000 issue? Was there a way to set the priority of Seti down to "1" from "4" with NT/2000?

Welcome Back! :)

If you're using seti driver, check the box for it to create a "SETIlog.csv", then just use SETI Watch to read the csv file.

As far as the outlook "issue", I have yet to experience any problems and I'm runnning several Win2k/Outlook/SETI machines. Guess I'm just lucky, but never been a problem for me.

Hit ctrl,shift,esc--> brings up taskmanager. Go to processes, scroll down to seti, right click on it, click on the level of priority you want. :) Though if I remember right from setting up seti, doesn't it automatically default to "low"??

When I install Firedaemon to run SETI as a service, it asks me on which priority I want to run SETI. I always enter "1". You might try that...

edit: Firedaemon is a freeware that can be downloaded from this website. Special thanks to OD for bringing this free jewel to my attention :D.
