Been posting waayy too much in OT since oc'ing my 1700+ to 2.2Ghz on an old KG7 mobo a long time ago. Then I gave up on the CPU and OC'ing scene.

Just decided to get a new rig, so I have bought:

AMD (Winchester) Athlon 64bit 3200+ 939pin 512kb L2cache 90nm
Shuttle SN95G5 Socket 939 Barebone NVIDIA nForce 3 Ultra chipset Black
Seagate Barracuda ST3200822AS 200Gb 8Mb Cache 7200RPM - OEM
NEC ND-3520A 16x DVD R/RW Dual Layer Internal IDE Black OEM
Galaxy GeForce 6 6600GT AGP8x 128MB GDDR3 Retail Box
Samsung Original 512mb PC3200 DDR400 184pin Memory Module
LG L1715S 17" TFT 16ms 450:1 Monitor - Charcoal & Grey with 3year onsite

Welcome back, most people will suggest you get an nForce 4 barebone, as AGP is at the end of it's line. Also most people aren't fond of generic Samsung. ;)

Not fussed about OC'ing the living crap out of it, like I used to. This will be a 'see what I get and stick with it' situation.

This is it.

The driver has been that I needed a TFT to replace my ageing Sony CRT with a broken red line in the cable and a new GFX card. I am a lilttle jaded by my tower with a thousand PCI cards and 6 drives of various types(optical/Hard disc) and wanted something smart but powerful too.

Essentially, I need to play HL2...
