I'm at these computer courses here at Transy and I've learned a bit of Perl so far. Enought that I can do pretty simple math equations and all that good stuff. Nothing too fancy though, although I hope at the end of the week to be able to at least make something useful, or continue learning the language in a book to keep going farther in it.
The camp: I paid $350 for a "Perl for Dummies" book, a 1 inch notebook, some paper, a pen, and a floppy. That and the use of these amazing original Pentium computers by IBM with no CD-ROM and 14 inch monitors... fun.
