i'm at 1 gig!!!

whoo hoo just my duron 700 and kt7 raid.

at first i thought i had a dead mobo.....turns out my L1 bridges were connected wrong (penicl lead touched the other bridges)

i'm running at 1 gig (no crashes yet) at 1.7 volts with stock HS and artic silver (darn the alphas are on back order). i hit 1050 but then rebooted and it wouldn't run at 1050. guess i need more voltage. don't want to do that until i get the alpha.

BTW< what is the recommended temp for the duron? 55 C max?

how about max voltage? 1.85 like the celeron? thanks.

kt7-raid can only give you 1.85 in softmenu, while you may get as high as 1.90~1.92 in real...

BTW. have tried using Prime95/RC5 to stress-test your OC'ed rig to see the evidence of stability? Running MS windows idly doesn't sweat the CPU as all, - it just loads up your physical mem ...

yeah i've been running seti@home for several hours....no crashes. still at 48 C. also been running wintune and sisoft sandra benchmarks...no crashes either.

can't wait to get an alpha. i can probably go higher.

now i need to get rid of crappy 4 meg PCI video card so that i can run UT and quake to test stability.

With my CII566@1Gig and a Elsa Gladiac GTS2, I get 6450 in 3dMark2000!!
Not bad for a cellery wouldn't you say??

With modification to your board (see the article on AMDZone for details on how to do this), you can boost voltage as high as 2.1 volts. Whether or not you want to risk a $60-$70 cpu is your choice 😉

I've had my Duron 600@954 on 2.0 volts for some time now.

Keep in mind that you got 256KB cache and I've got 128....
Higher FSB and higher bandwidth on RAM and PCI/AGP as well...

Congrats all, mine duron 600 is at 900 with a stock h/s fan and holding for a better h/s w/arctic silver. kudos to the intel guys for not playing the my brand is great, your brand sucks game. this site is great about that.
