So I removed a window screen and need to reattach it again--but I have no idea how to put the damn thing back on.

There's an identical screen door right next to it so I get what direction it's supposed to go in, but no matter what direction I try to put it in, or if I'm inside or outside, nothing's working.

Basically there's two curved springs at the top, while the rest of the frame is flexible but pretty rigid. In which way/angle should I put it in then? The closest I've managed to put it in is by putting these two corners in first (from outside the window)..

Where the X's are, and sliding from the top right downward, but I can't get the top in. I've tried doing it the opposite way with the springs first, but I can't get the bottom in.

Any advice?

You may just need to flex it a bit more than you are. Can you get a flathead screwdriver in there to try and lift it over the lip that it has to pop into?

Springs have got to go first. They push the whole framework down and keep it seated in the bottom groove.

I know you've tried it that way already, but based on your description, that's the way it's got to go.

Any chance for pics?

The springs at the top are there to hold the screen in place during normal use, while allowing room to move the screen into so you can pull the bottom out. To put back in place, slide the top in first until the springs contact the top, then push a little more to compress the springs. With the top in place and the springs compressed, slide the bottom into place, then lower the screen down into the bottom position.

You will need two spiders. CorCentral has a few.

As you push up on the top, they push up at the bottom. Springs are up...if there are plastic tabs on the screen they usually face in.

Should pop right in.

Ah I got it in now..the problem was when I went spring first..there's a sill at the bottom of the window, so the bottom of the screen was angled outward toward me more, making it more difficult to insert, whereas going bottom first there was a perfect angle to do it. Going spring first then, I just had to push harder to maneuver the screen in..
