After working on someone's computer here at work, I'm amazed they get as far as they do on the internet/computers. This is a 200MHz Dell laptop with 64megs of ram, 3gig HDD, etc. and they are running Windows XP Professional. Their son installed it....
Anyone else find it hard to beleive people get as far as they do with computers? Don't get me wrong, I still constantly get calls from my parents saying "I was "SURFING THE NET" (with an emphasis on each word) today and I a window popped up saying "Your computer is infected! You need to download this program to uninfect it! SO, I just turned it off and called you. What should I do?" I say "Does the window name end in "Microsoft Internet Explorer"?" To which I get the response "Yah, how'd you know?!?!" "It's a popup ad dad, you can close it!"
