I have big problems with oc my cpu. I have a duron 800 on a msi k7t pro 2a mb. I've done the pencil trick 5 times now, and I even tried soldering metal (cold). When I adjust the multiplier to 9, it goes down to 500, 10 - 600, and when I tried 11 it just beeped and refused to boot. Anyone who has any idea whats wrong? I thought I hadnt connected all bridges, but the last time I took out th cpu to lay even more pencil lead on it.

Help would be appreciated...

same thing kept happening to me, I finally got it working by trying to connect the bridges with different pencils. The lead in the pencil you were using might not be a good enough conductor.

Make absolutely sure you don't interconnect the bridges with one another this leads to symptoms you described. Same mobo here Tbird 1 GHz overclocked fine, I'm still trying. ;)

I thought if the different bridges got connected, it would still be locked. Isnt that right?
