I'm all itchy

Been going tanning for about a week now, and I have developed lots of little red bumps all over my upper back. And they itch like crazy. Anyone else get this sorta thing when using a tanning bed?

go see a dermatologist. Sounds like you picked up a rash or something, probably because the bed wasn't properly decontaminated when that sweaty 400 lb dude tanned naked just before you got there.

Tanning salons are the stupidest thing ever. 😕

It's a rash from either the cleaner they use, or just from lying in your own sweat.

Try a stand-up tanning booth. Better yet, don't tan at all or get a spray on tan. Unless pre-mature aging of your skin wont bother you and you don;t mind looking 60 when you're 40.

you need to spend more time away from ATOT and more time outdoors in the three-dimensional world...get some sun...it'll be good for you.

EDIT: just saw your post-count. Nevermind. Just get out in the sun more. Don't waste your money or your health on a tanning bed.

Well I am only tanning to prepare for a trip I am going on where I will be outside shirtless for most of the day for 5 days.

No, I don't want to sunburn. Sunburns make me sick, literally. I get bad headaches and I don't want my trip to be ruined. So I was told if I tanned before I went, I would decrease my chances of being burned, even if I was in the sun for a long time.
