I'm addicted to Zune Pass

TallBill

I'm trying the free 14 day trial of Zune pass and absolutely loving it so far. I'll probably hop on board and sign up for $15 a month once the trial is up. You get 10 free songs to permanently own which is a nice kicker. A lot of my music collection is illegitimate, so this is a great way for me to legally get music.

Anyways, I've essentially had music going all damn day and am looking into buying a Zune Player now for my car rides to and from work/school.

My username is ImTallbill, give me an add so I can see what you are all listening to!

Yeah, which is a nice kicker. So you can think of it as buying 10 songs a month for $1 a piece, and then paying $5 for the subscription service to listen to 3.5 million songs.

I didn't realize this, pretty neat then. I've moved to a mostly legit collection, but some of it still isn't - this might be right up my alley as well.

I've been using the Zune Pass since it launched over 2 years ago, and I love it. Being able to download pretty much any song I want when I want, legitimally, is huge for me.

I came across alot of stuff I wanted that was not available for whatever reason, this was a couple of years ago but that was my zunepass experience then.

It's gotten much, much better since then. About the only music that I want and can't get with the Zune Pass these days is Tool and Metallica. Other than those two bands, others are very few and very far between.

Hmmm. That does look pretty neat. Is the library pretty good/expansive? I tend to like more indie rock and non-mainstream punk bands so I'm wondering if I'll be able to find that kind of music in their library.

You are definitely not alone in this. I got a Zune 120 for Christmas and fell in love with the music pass. I have only run into a few artists that are not included and those were just the standard ones you would expect (Beatles for example).

Yeah, there were a few random 60's blues/jazz artists that I couldn't download. However, most of those I could at least still stream on my pc.

I wouldn't even know what to look for with indie/punk bands so I don't really know what there selection is. I know it'll be lower then anything from a major label of course.

I've had my Zune 30 for almost a year now, I'm very tempted to try out Zune Pass. I think I'm gonna try the trail this weekend. Oh, can I look up their music selection before I sign up?

Yep. Just open up your Zune software and head on over to the Marketplace.

I listen to the radio mostly, but I can't wait until someone comes up with a subscription-based video service along the same lines as Napster/Zune Pass. With a good selection of movies and TV shows, I'd pay $50 (or more) a month for such a service and cancel my cable.

I don't give a shit what anyone says, the new Zune software is way better than itunes.

I tunes has Genius which is an amazing feature but Zune 3.0/3.1 is better than Itunes for everything else. Autoupdate songs so it doesn't give me song not found every time I organize my music collection + a lot snappier, especially with a large music library.

Sweet.

Wait a second. I'm not quite sure you can see what music will be included under the Zune Pass sub, if that's what you were asking.

I agree. I keep telling my A/V hound uncles that this will be the future of content delivery coming very soon, but they don't quite buy it yet.

No you can't. The best way to see what you can either download or stream (remember, they are different) is just to sign up for the zune pass trial. I didn't even have to sign up, since it carried over all my info from my xbox live account.
