A week or two ago I started watching a couple older Disney movies that I watched as a kid, and they were nice, and then I watched the Lion King. For some reason it makes me really sad when I watch it, but I keep wanting to watch it over and over. I've watched it for 4 days in a row now, and I'm going to watch it today, making it 5 days. I think I'm crazy...

Pumbaa: It's our motto.
Young Simba: What's a motto?
Timon: Nothing. What's a motto with you?
[Timon and Zazu are cornered by hyenas]
Timon: Please don't eat me.
Pumbaa: Drop 'em!
Banzai: Hey! Who's the pig?
Pumbaa: Are you talkin' to me?
Timon: Uh-oh, they called him a pig.
Pumbaa: Are you talking to *me*?
Timon: Ya shouldn't have done that.
Pumbaa: ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?
Timon: Now they're in for it.
Pumbaa: THEY CALL ME MR. PIG! AHHHH!

No I'm not, and it's really kind of bothering me. I've never been depressed or anything, but I'm starting to think that this moving is making me depressed. I just can't get it out of my head.
I think it might be because me and my dad don't get along, and we hardly ever talk, and in the movie Simba and his dad are like best friends.

i think it is a funny movie, what is there to be depressed about?
Mufasa dies and him and Simba were really close...

that is a normal part of real life, so how is it more depressing than RL?

my dad will die some day, i'll be really sad and miss him, but i'll still carry on with my life and enjoy my time with my kids and their kids etc

i guess you missed the "Circle of Life" part of the movie

Because I don't know if I will even care when my dad dies since he's not really a part of my life now anyways.

i see, this is some mental thing because of your relationship with your father in RL

you better quit watching the movie and see a shrink

good luck

This explains it all!!

See I work at Mancard Inc. in the Shipping department. We have had this one card that we kept sending out and we keep getting it back with "Return to Sender, No man here". Whew, now I can get that off my plate and over to the shredding division to be processed right away.

:D

Edit: Did not see the more serious replies come in while this was being typed, if you are suffering depression go see a doctor.

He's not kidding, because I did this not too long ago either (to the point of memorizing almost every line in the movie).

The animation quality is amazing. Timon and Puumba is the 2nd best duo from disney. First being the Emperor Kuzco and Pacha from Emperor's New Groove.

hmm. just read the thread. If it's because of your father, I suggest just calling him. No father will not be thrilled to have their own son/daughter make a phone call just to catch up.
