Yeah, I know, they do the same thing in every show, but there's something about people who think they're 100% right being shown they're 100% wrong that resonates with me.

I'm also a fan of Ramsay's recipes. I get tips on things I made by watching his suggestions :)

I really prefer the Brit version of the show. For some reason it feels more real than the US show, though I will watch the US one in a pinch if it's on.

I'm a fan too but prefer the British version. He was more cool, calm and collected than in the Fox show where all he wants to do is yell and complain. Unfortunately that's what the American audience prefers

I think it's the narrator. Gordon narrates it himself in the UK version. The US version has than smug sounding morning-talk-show voice going on.

I think Dinner Impossible is better.

UGH! Hope you're kidding. That guy is a quack (check out his background). He also tries to copy Ramsay so badly...it's like what Ridiculousness did to Tosh.0.

I have a love/hate thingie with Ramsay.

'Oh come on" is classic when pulls his elbow close to his side and swivels while yelling that.

The US show is heavily scripted. Personally, I can't stand Ramsey. He has the most annoying way of talking. He bobs up and down when he talks, and ends every sentence with "right?". Between him and the heavily scripted scenes, I prefer to watch something else.

That's what makes him funny...he always looks like someone that drank 3 pots of coffee and snorted a kilo of coke :D

He used to give me the rub of a heavy smoker that quit and carries some anger about that around?

For me it's less about food and more about the despair, redemption, and guessing if he turns the place into gastropub/steakhouse/fancier place.

There is always the forth option of it failing, I've seen that happen a few times. :p

I like to follow up after the show. It's actually a greater than 50% failure rate. Some of those places are just too deep in debt, others go back to their old ways after Gordon leaves.

The last time I heard Ramsey had to close several of his restaurants or was in debt because his very failing. Anyone know more about this. If true it just seems very hypocritical of him.

Yeah. The American version is too heavily edited/produced and you get the sense that a lot of the restaurant owners want to be on TV more than they want to actually save their business. In the Brit version you see a lot of owners who won't implement changes because they are stubborn or scared. In the American version you see a lot of owners who just want to scream and shout to make the show more 'interesting'.

Yea the uk one is better, the pounding music and cutting just annoy the crap out of me, like they think everyone has a.d.d.

yep stubborn in the uk, american owners tend to be downright morons
