I'm actually watching Fox News for the first time. Do you take them seriously?

LoL...I'm watching these Hannity and Colmes guys. It's like watching wrestling and reality shows...the fact that they are taken seriously is sad, because this is processed, packaged and spoon fed to the public. Ugh..."buy my book, buy my bose wave-radio, vote for our patron, George W."

While you stick your heads in the dirt, I'm going to go down the rabbit hole...

It's informative and entertaining. They don't try to look serious and hide their biases. They are clearly conservative whereas the liberal majority media are quietly liberal.

I like to laugh with my news, even when it's bad.

I primarily watch Fox News, yet I take most news with a grain of salt. I haven't watched CNN or any other news channels in years.

WOOT! 1000th post.

I don't know why everyone seems to particularly point out Fox News. It's not like none of the other major networks don't pander to "sensationalism." The "news" is giving us what we want... violence, action, and drama.

I don't look for them for opinion or anything, just watch it to see what the issue is about. So it really doens't matter what the source is. I hate people who keep complaining "news is biased! news is biased!" Who gives a fsck honestly, do they have to be told what to think?

Funny how everyone harps about Government control of the news, when the solution to his matter is actually MORE government control like the the BBC in Britain.

Agreed. Fox happens to stand out because they have the opposite spin from the rest of the networks, and people are conditioned to be used to the media's typically liberal bias.

Fox News belongs in the same catagory with George Carlin's oxymorons, including jumbo shrimp and military intelligence. I was LMFAO when the judge bitch slapped them for their lawsuit against Al Franken.

Their national security correspondent (Katherine something) also covered Queen Mum funeral. You draw your own conclusions.

Hannity and Colmes is an EDITORIAL show and billed as such. It's no different from Crossfire on CNN. To judge Fox News Channel by this show is just as silly as judging CNN by Crossfire.

Fox News is only hard to take for many because the truth confuses them since they are used to being lied to, but Fox continues to gain viewers every month so maybe there is some hope for the future.

The question you need to ask is....do you take CNN seriously? If you're gonna bash Fox News for their slant then you might as well bash CNN for their slant.

Because they pride themselves soo much on being "Fair and Balanced." But yeah, at the same time, no other networks are really "fair". But I don't ever see CNN claiming to be fair all the time. Make sense? Maybe someone else can elaborate better than I can. I'm tired.

You ever watch some of the news shows on the PBS channels? They pretty much just give you the straight news, without the sensationalism, and with a generally even slant.

The cable news networks are all pretty much a waste of time IMO. They are on 24/7, so they have to fill up all that time with something...and it usually ends up being crap. Cas in point..having Andrew Dice Clay on CNNfN..

I remember when their slogan was, "Fox News...Rocks News!" A bit sensationalistic but I still prefer it over other cable news stations. And a family member of mine is a biggie with CNN.

Theres a difference (hopefully) between government control, and government funding. The BBC is funded by the government, but hopefully not controlled by it - witness the David Kelly furore of a couple of months ago

The FN slant tends to agree with my personal feelings, so I prefer it. Yet I still watch CNN and MSNBC on occasion to get different angles on things.

After all, picking one point of view is like blinding yourself in one eye. All it does is hurt. ;)

personal feelings, huh, yeah right.

what kind of personal feelings does fox news satisfy for you.

oh btw, I just realize that what really matters to you is how fox news make you feel, not what it makes you think about the corporate owned media.

and your take on msnbc and cnn, they bring out a different angle, what angle is that, tell me how it is different then fox news. oh please do so.
