One of the biggest mistakes of my life. i was running Win98se for a year straight without any problems. then i bought that Win ME promotional step up. Win ME looked good and performed good initially but as i later have found out there are compatability problems with Win ME and Adobe Photoshop 6, and Cute ftp. (i found that out after i uninstalled Win ME.) now I am back to Win 98se and im thinking about upgrading to Win 2k pro.( just havent gotten around to it ) Win ME was a learning expierience for me though. ( thats why im not exactly jumping into Win 2K pro until i do the hardware?/software compatability research....again havent had the time)......if i were you though i wouldnt do it though . i only know one person who is having luck with Win ME. everybody else i know hates it and regrets the day they ever installed it .....hope you dont make the same mistake.
 
Well, it looks like if you perform a clean install, ME should run fine. Anyone who upgraded to ME from 98 apparently has had one hell of a time. WIN2k hasn't given too many people any problems apparently.... Interesting... I for one haven't had any problems with it--yet..
