by the time this post actually becomes readable, i will be in the process of flashing my bios on my ga 7dxr. i will then proceed to take my case off and physically change my onboard raid to an onboard ultra ata controller. then, i will switch my 2 120gb seagate drives to that ata controller, and the 2 80gb seagate drives that were on the raid controller to my mobo's primary ide controller. i will then turn my pc back on and proceed to install windows xp professional, and i will be back to read all the comments in a few 😉

Eep. Sounds like a crapload of work at a really late hour too. You might as well unscrew everything and dust off the interior, then rescrew everything. Usually takes me an extra hour just for that.

I bought a new Epox EPMVP3G2 to replace my malfunctioning MVP3G-M(ancient socket 7, never got to upgrade..)..

Debating whether to do it tonight.

I put together my new P4 3.0GHz, Kingston HyperX 1GB PC3200 DDR, Abit IS7-G, IBM 100GB 7200rpm HD, Geforce 4 Ti4600, Winfast TV 2000 XP Deluxe capture card, Sony DRU500AX DVD -/+ RW. Sound card built into motherboard, along with 1000/100/10 network card, firewire, usb 2.0...

I'm one VERY HAPPY camper! *Goes off to frag*

*just finished installing windows. now i'm doing the windows updates*

p.s. - the only place I had my windows xp cd key was on one of my 120 gig hdd's (as a txt file) and i accidentally formatted the raid before i remembered that. that's why it wasn't till now that i was able to finish installing the OS.

p.p.s - it IS a legal version of windows.
